August is back to school month!!!

Greetings!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer of 2010...ours went by so fast! Can't believe our kiddos are back in school, and they are growing up way too fast, for Mike and I to keep up. Courtney is in 10th grade now..seems like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital...our baby girl is growing up before our eyes, and turning into a beautiful young woman! She is playing Badminton this year and loving it..she took a break from dance a year ago...maybe some day she will take it back up..as she is a beautiful dancer! Although she is taking a dance class this year and she was in her High School Musical as a Freshman, where she got to do some dancing. I am very proud of her accomplishments, and she has had to overcome some certain learning obstacles in her life, but is doing very well!! Siena is now in 7th grade and is on a Club Softball team for the first time and loving it. She is getting lots of great training that she never had before. She is our athletic one in the family! She was also on her school Softball team last year in 6th grade. She too is turning into a beautiful young lady, with an attitude to go along with it! LOL We are proud of her as well with her grades, and is usually on the principals list or honor roll! AJ has started 3rd grade...my little momma's boy! He struggles a little bit more than his sisters...although he does follow in the foot steps of Courtney, as far as learning. He has played 2 yrs of TeeBall and 2yrs of Coach/Pitch Baseball. We just signed him up, for the first time, he will play Flag Football. He has quite a few friends that play tackle football, and wanted to try it out, but wanted to do Flag Football first, to make sure he really likes it! AJ has a hard time with dealing with situations as he doesn't have one mother, he has 3! LOL At any rate I'm equally proud of all 3 of my kids, as they are unique and amazing in their own ways! Mike is still with In-n-Out and plugging along being busier than ever. I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband, and I love him with all my heart. He is always willing to help anyone out, especially saving people money, by working on their cars! We have a new addition to the family...a Bearded Dragon, named "Wittle Shredder"...AJ is just loving him, and so far taking good care of him...wonder how he will be when he gets bigger??!! LOL Photos to come later!!

How did I miss February?

This was a stormy afternoon in January..we were actually under a Tornado warning!!

Wasn't it just January....February came and went...maybe because there is only 28 days. At any rate, we are plugging along staying super busy! The kids will be starting their Spring Break in just about a week now. Will be nice to take a little break and head over to CA for a little visit with Family and Friends. Then when we get back maybe we can hit a Spring Training game or two!! We are still experiencing some cool weather, and we have had rain, pretty much about once a week...with more to come this weekend! It is a nice change, as we need the rain so badly!!

After the Earthquake last month in Haiti...now there has been one in Chile...only bigger 8.8..with less damage as Haiti...go figure...just goes to show you the difference in the two areas of quality of building, with what the two different countries have to work with. I believe it is just a matter of time before a big one hits the States!

I am still working hard on being a Consultant for Heritage Makers. I truly believe in what they are all about and bringing those values back to our homes. I honestly don't understand why anyone would want to take pictures of their amazing families and not want to do anything with them! We need to preserve our families heritage, now and from the past...this can be done thru Storybooking!

Courtney is gearing up for her High School Musical, GREASE, which kicks off tonight. We are going tomorrow night, can't wait to see how it all turned out! She is also nursing a Stress Fracture and been in a "boot" for about 3 weeks now. Looks like she will have to wear it for another 3 weeks, as to make sure it heals completely. I guess Track will have to wait until next year!!

Siena is trying out for Softball at her school. She made the first cuts, and has 2nd tryouts today after school. We are hoping she try's her best, and is choosen to be apart of the 6th/7th Grade Softball team...keeping our fingers crossed!

AJ has been going to the BMX track with Mike and loving it...the past 2 weeks he has been bringing his friend with him, who is loving it as well! We signed AJ up for Baseball again this year, thru Litchfield Little League...we are still awaiting a call from a Coach..hopefully this week.

Mike is staying busy with work...In-N-Out Burger is definetly not slowing down one bit! He is still working on cars on the side and any other side job he is asked to do!! He is a hard worker and takes care of our family...and we love him for that!!

Until next time...everyone have a blessed day!!

Catching Up With January

Sunset in Glamis!

Happy Rainy Thursday!! The rain is falling once again...as this is third weather system this week..suppose to be the biggest rain fall that we have had in awhile! We sure need it...and so far, it has been a very long time since we have seen rain like this..so bring it on!!

The month is quickly getting away from us! We have had a busy start to the new year!! The weekend of January 8, we went camping out to Glamis...had a great time, with family and friends out there. The weather was absolutely perfect..super nice and sunny during the day, and cool at night, perfect to sit around the fire and have Smores!! The kids totally love riding their quads and just hanging out in the sand! We all made it back safe and sound...however Mike's truck started to lose some power on the way home, luckily we only had about an hour left on the drive..made it home with no problems. Turned out he had to get a new alternator..thank god we did not get stuck at the dunes!!

On January 11, Siena cut her finger while cutting a block of cheese! We thought she would need stiches, but after a trip to Urgent care, they only treated it, but using Glue...go figure!! She was in a lot of pain, and very upset about it...she had to keep it bandaged and use a splint, but as of today, it is healing quite nicely!!

The next day...January 12...will be a day no one will forget anytime soon. The 7.0 Earthquake in Haiti! So devasting..I could not stop watching as stories unfolded, day after day. I felt very touched and wished I had the ability to be there and help anyone I could, especially the children! Our church, has helped build a church in Value Haiti, which we found out later, was destroyed. My husband and our neighbor are very interested in going over there to help re-build, with the help of our church. Will keep you posted on that project. This past weekend was very emotional at our church, as it was all about WHY? and what to do next for the people of Haiti. I so very touched and really felt God's presence, I was very overwhelmed..we had a stage full of shoes, that people took off right there, and walked out barefoot..it was awesome...and I was one that walked out without shoes..what a great feeling that was!!

January 16, our sweet middle child, that cut her finger (LOL), turned 12. Can't believe she is growing up so fast! She is turning into a very lovely lady! The weekend of her birthday, she went with our church, with the Middle Schoolers, to a GO Mission trip, to Prescott, AZ. She had an amazing experience, while helping clean up a Salvation Army, feeding the homeless and giving them blankets! It was a birthday, she will not soon forget!

The rain continues to fall, and the streets are getting flooded! Let's pray that everyone stays safe out there!!

Bring on 2010

This is Ruby girl!

This Oreo AKA El Gato Gordo!

Thought I would add our animals to the blog this time, as they are family too! This is Bella!

Where did 2009 go...seems as though the years are going by faster and faster! I can still remember being in 6th grade and saying, "I am NEVER going to Graduate"..thinking it was going to be forever until I did...and now that I am a Mom, my kids are growing up waaaay too fast, and the years are just flying by!

December is such a blur! In getting ready for Christmas, helping Clients finish up their holiday gifts, Storybooks, Calendars, Cards, getting the decorations up, hosting Christmas Eve, having my parents here..and now it is all over! New Years Eve, I spent with my kids, we rented movies, and they had a camp out in the living room, and at midnight we all had Sparkling Apple Cider, then we called Mike as he had to work that night, and we all wished him a Happy New Year!!

And now back to the grind! Kids are back in school this week and I am back getting busy on my Heritage Makers business. I believe it is going to be an amazing year for me, with HM. This is one thing I can honestly say, that I love to do and love the outcome of the products and the joy on peoples face when they recieve these amazing products!

Until next time, let's all make this the best blessed year it can be! XOXO to ALL!!
